Martin was an avid gardener and had an exceptional green thumb and enjoyed tending to his small apple orchard. Martin sold property, sometimes several times over to many people including John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Darren McGavin and many other luminaries. In partnership with Jim Farrell they owned Sullivan County Reality and Jim Farrell Insurance. He later became a Real Estate Broker and Insurance Agent. Post WWII, he worked for New York City Water Supply System. For many years he worked with his father in the automotive industry at Schwartz Motors in Liberty, NY. He proudly served our country in the United States Army Air Corp., from 1943-1946. He was the son of the late Abraham (Boom) and Yetta Rosenthal Schwartz, born on Septemin Livingston Manor, NY.Īs a child Marty had horses and unlike any other teens he had his pilot license before his driver's license.
